If you have read my What's on Your Nightstand posts from the past then you know that what is on my nightstand are my cats and if I'm lucky my chapstick. Don't ask me how but somehow my cats brainwashed me and now they have a cup of water on my nightstand. My cats walk all over me. It's really sad I know but they are just too cute for me to say no to them. ;)
But I'm sure you are more interested in what I'm reading and not how my cats walk all over me. At the moment I am reading Baker's Fatal Dozen by Lisa Harris. This is a Heartsong Presents Mysteries book. I'm almost finished with it and it's okay. Here's what the back of the book says:
Get ready to cook up a second helping of Pricilla Crumb and her hilarious schemes to serve up justice. When Reggie Peirce, who runs Pricilla Crumb's favorite bakery, is found dead, Pricilla finds herself hot on the trail of another sticky scandal that begins with murder. But as Pricilla chases after clues to catch a killer, will the road to her long-distance romance with Max hit a permanent detour?
This is the second book in the A Cozy Crumb Mystery but I haven't read the first book and I think that is part of my problem. My problem being that the book is just okay to me. Cause there really isn't anything wrong with this book. Pricilla is a likable character as is her boyfriend, Max. The story is good...I have no idea who the murderer is and am looking forward to see who it ends up being.
I just got my latest shipment of Heartsong Present Mysteries books and the fourth book in the Ivy Towers series was one of the books. I have really enjoyed that series and am looking forward to the the last book in this series....Ivy and her husband are accused of killing Santa Claus!
So that is what would be on my nightstand if my cats had not taken over my nightstand. :)
