Today is Friday which means it is time for Friday's Fave Five hosted by Living to Tell the Story. This has been a tough week for me so looking back on the week and finding five bright spots will do me good.
1) The Lord. This has been a tough week and I know I couldn't have gotten through it without the Good Lord. It amazes me to think about how much He loves me when I know I don't deserve it but that doesn't matter He loves me more than I can imagine regardless.
2) My husband. I know I haven't been the easiest to be around this week and my hubby has been really great with putting up with me.
3) My animals. I'm a big animal lover and I love my dogs and cats. They can always make me smile no matter how low I may be feeling. This week I enjoyed taking my dog (Gracie) and her brother (Doc) and sister (Daisy) for a walk on my parent's land. They are so funny. It was nice to be outside (I'm so glad it's warmed up) and to watch the dogs ran around enjoying themselves.

This is my lovely Gracie. Need to get a picture of Doc and Daisy.
4) Books. I had ordered some books last week and they arrived the other day. I love books. :) I got Just Jane, Mozart's Sister, and Washington's Lady which are all by Nancy Moser. All these books are in here Ladies of History series and I'm really looking forward to reading them. You can check out here.
5) I'm knitting a prayer shawl for my cousin's wife, she found out she has cancer and is getting treatment. I'm really hoping to get it finished this weekend so I can mail it to her. It was a free pattern that I found on the Lionbrand site and I'm just really pleased with the way it is coming along. Very pretty. I hope she will like it.
Sorry you've had a rough week, Angie. I'm glad you still jumped in and did the list. It's uplifting to look for the good things that happened even in the midst of hard times. It was a great list! Hope you have a refreshing weekend and a better week next week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've not had a great week, but look how you focused on the blessings in your life! I don't know why the Lord loves me either, but I'm so thankful He does! I'm sure your prayer shawl will be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry it's been a tough week. Wasn't it wonderful to get out and walk the dogs? I'd love to see a photo of the shawl!
ReplyDeleteAnimals can be such a comfort and bring us so much joy, I am missing having one right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've had comfort and understanding from the Lord and those around you this week. How sweet that you are making that prayer shawl for your friend. Blessings...
ReplyDeleteI had to go looking for positives this week too. It can be so helpful to recognize the things that got you through it. Thanks be to God. I pray that next week is better for you.
ReplyDeleteSorry you've not had the best week, babe. Here's hoping the next one is better, eh?
